My year in Europe as an exchange student was the launchpad for my 25-year career abroad.
I went from studying 4 foreign languages (I remain fluent in Japanese) to being the youngest and only female manager at BMW Japan and later completing an MBA.
I launched a global marketing business while raising a young family until an unexpected curveball hit me in 2008, which had a ripple effect on the health and wellbeing of my entire family.
Now, at a major crossroads, I re-evaluated everything.
I had two choices: crumble with the news or rise above my fears (& go-to armour) and take the situation into my hands.
